During this sensory experience, we'll explore the history and origins of gofio , an ancient food made from toasted and ground grains, consumed since the time of the Canary Islands' indigenous people You'll learn about the different types of gofio—corn, wheat, mixed, etc.—and their cultural, nutritional, and symbolic importance on the islands.
Did you know that gofio is one of the few traditional foods with a Protected Geographical Indication in Europe?
It is an officially recognized gastronomic pride of the Canary Islands!
